CNN Has Complete Meltdown After American Troops In Iraq MAGA Hats for Trump

The President was being criticized over the Christmas holiday because he didn’t visit with troops overseas and is customary of whoever holds the Office.

But not only did he go visit with the troops in Iraq, but the troops were very happy to see him. Of course, this made the mainstream media upset.

As The Daily Wire reported,

On Wednesday, as President Trump visited American troops stationed in Iraq at the al-Asad airbase, CNN took a shot at the troops who asked Trump to sign their “Make America Great Again” hats or their embroidered patches reading “Trump 2020.” The network discussed whether the service members might have violated Department of Defense guidelines against partisan political activities, and later implied on its website that the troops had indeed violated the rules. But CNN left out a key part of the guidelines when they quoted them.

CNN made sure to quote a portion of the Department of Defense’s guidelines: “active duty personnel may not engage in partisan political activities and all military personnel should avoid the inference that their political activities imply or appear to imply DoD sponsorship, approval, or endorsement of a political candidate, campaign, or cause.”

However, they left out something important as well, “Active duty members may, however, express their personal opinions on political candidates and issues, make monetary contributions to a political campaign or organization, and attend political events as a spectator when not in uniform.”

Here’s my question: where was the uproar back when former President Barack Obama did the same thing

So don’t give me this BS sob story about how the troops may have violated a guideline. What exactly are you trying to accomplish? You want to gnit pick something such as this that is no concern of yours to begin with? You want to punish our military for liking our President? What’s your goal here liberals?

CNN is blind to the fact that President Trump is liked by many people including our troops overseas. They just solidly hate the President and want to attack him every chance they get.
