CNN ‘Fact Checker’ Destroys Biden’s Classified Documents Defense Point-by-Point
CNN’s “Fact Checker” delivers a relentless blow to President Biden’s defense on the classified documents scandal, meticulously dismantling each of his claims. In a scathing takedown, senior reporter Daniel Dale dissects Biden’s assertions with precision, leaving no room for ambiguity.
“While one thing that President Biden said is basically that he stored the documents in filing cabinets that could be locked. Let’s listen,” as CNN’s John Berman prefaces, before airing Biden’s statement: “All the stuff that was in my home was in filing cabinets that were either locked or able to be locked.”
President Biden’s declaration that all his documents were securely stored in lockable filing cabinets is swiftly debunked by Dale. Referring to damning evidence from the Special Counsel’s report, Dale highlights photographs revealing a damaged box in Biden’s Delaware garage, housing sensitive material on the Afghanistan conflict.
Similarly, Biden’s assertion that none of the documents were highly classified is refuted by Dale, who points to the Special Counsel’s findings of multiple highly classified documents, some marked as Top Secret/SCI.
In yet another blow to Biden’s defense, Dale dismisses the President’s denial of sharing classified information with a ghostwriter for his book. Despite Biden’s claims, the Special Counsel explicitly states otherwise, detailing instances where classified information was shared verbatim from Biden’s notebooks.
While Biden attempts to defend himself, Dale asserts that his defense lacks factual accuracy. Despite mitigating factors, such as Biden’s alleged lack of awareness of the information’s classified nature, Dale concludes that the President’s defense falls short of credibility.
