You Won’t Believe What the Chinese Communist Party is Teaching About Jesus
There is a story in the Gospel of John in which Jesus saves a woman who was caught in adultery.
This story has been changed in a Chinese textbook allegedly to portray Jesus as a sinner and a killer.
Christians in China and all over the world are deeply aggravated over this completely new and false narrative and the story is being included in their curriculum of professional ethics and law where they are trying to teach the law students that sinners must be punished by sinners.
The Chinese textbook presents the story of the adulterous woman as follows:
“The crowd wanted to stone the woman to death as per their law. But Jesus said, ‘Let the one who has never sinned throw the first stone.’ Hearing this, they slipped away one by one. When the crowd disappeared, Jesus stoned the sinner to death saying, ‘I too am a sinner. But if the law could only be executed by men without blemish, the law would be dead.'”
The original story is, however, quite different. The woman was brought in front of Jesus to decide if she should be stoned to death or not as she had committed the sin of adultery. When Jesus asked the crowd if anyone among you is pure, nobody replied and finally, they left one by one leaving the woman alone with Jesus. After that, Jesus told the woman to leave and sin no more.
This distorted version of the story is not even close to what was originally there in the Gospel of John. Therefore, it has been described as “against mortality and the law” by a Catholic priest in Asia.
Christians are very distraught over this new change of the story and they are demanding the story to be removed from the Chinese curriculum for the law.
The fact of the matter is that is Jesus was a sinner, then no one has any hope in the forgiveness of their sins.
