CDC Director Gives Grave Warning for What We’re Encounter with COVID
We are days away from having the first doses of the COVID vaccine administered to Americans, but according to the CDC Director Dr. Robert Redfield, these next two or three months are going to be very bad.
Dr. Redfield highlights that on September 11, 2001, we saw a death toll of about 3,000 people and we just took time to remember Pearl Harbor Day last week which resulted in the deaths of just over 2,400 people.
He said that for the next two months, we’ll likely exceed these numbers every single day.
Based on recent numbers we’ve recently crossed over 16 million cases and 300,000 deaths. If Dr. Redfield is correct, we’ll be close to 500,000 deaths and 30 million cases.
Just last week, the FDA advisory committee gave the OK for emergency medical use for the first COVID vaccine, however, it still has to be officially approved by the FDA head-hanchos.
According to The Daily Wire,
The CDC director’s grim prediction comes as the Food and Drug Administration appears to be on the verge of approving the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine, a two-dose inoculation the FDA recently confirmed had a 95% efficacy rate in protecting clinical trial recipients.
During an FDA advisory committee meeting on Thursday, independent advisors voted 17-4 in favor of recommending that the FDA approve the COVID-19 vaccine as an emergency measure. Two of the advisors have since said publicly that they voted “no” because the language of the recommendation included 16- and 17-year-olds, an age group for which they wanted more data. Those two said they supported it for adults.
The United Kingdom has already approved the Pfizer vaccination and has already started administering the vaccine to the elderly as well as those who are on the front lines. I’m not sure about how many vaccinations have been given out in the UK so far, but I’m sure this will be a new number that will be included in new statistics very soon.
