BREAKING: Pete Buttigieg Under Investigation
With all of the uncertainty that surrounds the Biden regime, there is one thing that we do know for certain; there has never been an administration as corrupt and full criminals as we’ve seen from this current administration. The newest member to come under scrutiny is Pete Buttigieg, and not for his delayed response to East Palestine, OH.
Caitlin Sutherland, the Executive Director of Public Trust, stated that they were pleased to see Secretary Buttigieg’s air travel being investigated after they had helped expose his excessive use of taxpayer-funded government jets. Sutherland pointed out that while everyday Americans have been facing major flight disruptions due to the pandemic, Buttigieg continued to take private flights, including those on Coast Guard planes – even though commercial options were available.
Fox News Digital previously reported that since taking office in early 2021, Pete Buttigieg had used at least 18 taxpayer-funded private flights. In one instance he flew from Washington D.C. to Las Vegas for a promotion event concerning public works projects in Nevada; and on another occasion he took a tour across several swing states as part of the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act.
He has also accompanied his husband Chasten to the Fifth Invictus Games in Europe on a military aircraft, and taken a one-way trip to New York City for a radio interview and two meetings.
Although the US Department of Transportation (DOT) defended their decisions by insisting that career ethics officials – who have served under both Democratic and Republican administrations – had determined it was cost-effective or necessary for security or scheduling reasons; the fact remains that flying privately goes against the values which Secretary Buttigieg himself advocates for when it comes to fighting climate change and reducing emissions. This was similarly echoed by John Kerry when he faced criticism for taking a private jet to Iceland in 2021 while serving as Secretary of State and Climate Envoy.
