Last week, Iran’s top nuclear scientist was assassinated. Not long after, blatant threats were sent in the general direction of Joe Biden. With Biden’s history with Iran, a lot of people in this country are now getting very nervous about Joe Biden’s plans for the terrorist nation.

The Iran Nuclear Deal

When Barack Obama was president, the administration was about as nice as it could be. Obama’s nuclear deal that was made with Iran literally sent pallets of cash to the country, money many believe went directly into the hands of terrorists.

When Trump took over the office, he immediately put the clamps down on Iran. In addition to throwing the nuclear deal into the shredder, Trump slapped numerous sanctions on the country. These sanctions quickly started to dry up the economy, strangling terrorist operations from within, as funding seemed to start to dry up. That, in addition to an uptick in military assaults against terrorist cells, has all but removed these terrorists from existence.

Even though terrorist organizations have been quiet, relatively speaking, we know they are still hiding, waiting for an opportunity. After the assassination of Mohsen Fakhrizadeh and a subsequent threat by Iran, many Democrats were very outspoken and decried the attack, leaving many to believe that the moment Joe Biden gets into the Oval Office, he will loosen the noose on Iran and allow them to get back to business.

Iran has already taken measures that have been perceived as an open threat. After the assassination, Iran’s Parliament passed legislation that has a timeline to be enacted AFTER Trump is currently due to leave office. The legislation will enable Iran to “enrich uranium to a concentration level of 20%, produce at least 500 kg of enriched material per month, and restrict international inspector access.” The legislation also calls for all of Europe to reengage with Iran economically within three months.

If Joe Biden’s win holds up, he will be facing a clear challenge to the United States’ foreign policy that was implemented by Trump. There is not much hope from conservatives that Joe Biden will stand strong, which means Iran could be in an even better position in terms of what it was when Obama was president.

This will also put the entire world on notice for an uptick in terrorist activity. The moment Joe Biden removes the sanctions and that money starts to flow, you better believe terrorist organizations will start seeing funding again. The Obama administration is widely credited with the creation of ISIS and now Joe Biden has a very good chance of being credited with its resurrection.
