Well, it looks like the House of Representatives delivered the article of impeachment against President Trump to the Senate on Monday.

Now, it looks like we are going to wait until the beginning of the trial which will be on February 8th.

But this impeachment is going to be more of a sham than the first. You’re not going to believe this…

It’s being reported that Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, John Roberts, will not be presiding over the impeachment trial. Guess who it’s going to be instead…someone who is NOT a judge and has no business pretending to be one during a freaking trial! It’s President Pr Tempore of the Senate, Pat Leahy.

According to The Hill,

A Senate source said Leahy, a former chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee, is expected to preside at the trial.

A spokesman for Leahy said the decision on presiding over the trial is up to Senate Majority Leader Charles Schumer (D-N.Y.) and Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.).

“Leaders have been negotiating all process issues about the trial, and all along we have deferred to them for any announcements about this and all other process matters,” the aide said.

Republican critics say this creates a conflict of interest because Leahy voted in February to convict Trump on two articles of impeachment.

That’s not even the end of it either. There is also talk that the Republican Senators are going to vote in secret so that the American public can’t see who voted to convict him.

The Republican Party is headed down a very dangerous road that is leading us to despise the party more and more. We need something different. There have been new political parties created over the years and it’s time that we do it again it seems. President Trump may be the one to do it.
