BOOM! Legal Threat Leads Cause Libraries to Cave After Refusing to Host Christian Children’s Book Reading
Christianity and Christians have been targeted by the left for a long time now. Conversely, the doors have been opened as wide as they can go for anything that is anti-Christian, such as Drag Queen Story Hour, which is just one of the most abhorrent and abominable things I’ve ever seen.
However, the fight isn’t over, and one Christian just won a major victory on the battlefront to protect our children and their future.
Kirk Cameron, the 52-year-old actor best known for his role in the TV show “Growing Pains,” celebrated recently after two libraries reversed their decision to refuse hosting him for a reading of his new faith-based children’s book, “As You Grow.” According to Cameron’s publicist, the libraries “caved” and confirmed that he would be reading his book at a library in Indiana and another near New York City. Cameron had threatened legal action after the initial refusal to host him.
“I’m happy that the two libraries changed their decision and will allow my voice to be heard and my book to be read,” Cameron said. “I hope they realized that their position of denying me a story hour reading was not only unfair and illegal, but that we would all be better off if we listened to each other’s perspectives.”
Cameron went on to say that he hopes this victory will encourage Christians and conservatives across the country “to be brave and not back down, making sure that we are the salt of the earth and the light of the darkness.” He is now set to read his book at the Indianapolis Public Library on December 29, 2022, and at the Scarsdale Public Library in New York the following day.

The CEO of Cameron’s book publisher, Trent Talbot, commented on the situation, saying, “I love situations in which we have two ways to win and zero ways to lose. We forced these bullies to either take off their masks and show their true colors of unabashed anti-Christian and anti-American bias (as well as catch themselves in a spicy lawsuit) OR the bullies were going to realize that Kirk and Brave were here to fight and they would back down.”
Cameron previously spoke with The Daily Wire about how public libraries that have hosted “Drag Queen Story Hours” refused to host him for readings of his book, which he describes as “pro-God and pro-family and Biblical values.” He said he wrote it because the “education of children is of primary importance,” with young children being indoctrinated with leftist concepts like gender identity.
