Kim Kardashian Visits With Kamala Harris
During former President Donald Trump’s administration, Kim Kardashian became a notable figure in the realm of criminal justice reform. She worked closely with Trump and other officials to advocate for the commutation of sentences for non-violent offenders, focusing particularly on individuals serving long sentences for nonviolent drug offenses.
On March 4, 2020, Kim Kardashian West visited the White House to meet with President Trump and several women whose prison sentences had been commuted. The visit was highlighted as not only a moment to shine a light on the individuals affected but also as an opportunity to push for broader changes in the justice system. According to ABC News, during her visit, Kardashian emphasized the need for continued efforts to reform the system that “desperately needs” change.

Since 2018, Kardashian has been actively involved with the White House on issues of criminal justice reform. Her journey began when she successfully appealed to President Trump to secure the commutation of Alice Marie Johnson, who had served 21 years for a nonviolent drug offense. Following this success, Kardashian stayed engaged with Trump’s administration, particularly with Jared Kushner, Trump’s son-in-law and advisor, who was spearheading the administration’s efforts in prison reform legislation.
Fast forward to the present administration, and President Joe Biden is again mimicking former President Trump. Recently, he granted clemency to 16 individuals convicted of nonviolent drug offenses. In a statement, President Biden expressed that “America is a nation founded on the promise of second chances,” and he outlined his commitment to rehabilitation and reentry for those returning to their communities after incarceration.
Amidst these developments, Kim Kardashian returned to the White House, this time meeting with officials from President Biden’s team. She was hosted by White House Public Engagement Director Steve Benjamin and Vice President Kamala Harris, who thanked her for her ongoing commitment to criminal justice reform. This meeting underscores Kardashian’s continuous role in advocating for changes and improvements in the system, bridging administrations with her efforts.

Biden was not present however after the Eva Longoria debacle when he appeared to cop a feel that’s probably a good idea.
Do you think Joe Biden copped a feel here and Eva Longoria had to move his hands away?pic.twitter.com/XuRcR4r6MU

This is the second policy Biden has copied. Recently, Biden announced imposing tariffs on China, which he campaigned against in the last presidential election.
