It has evolved over the years, and in 1923, President Calvin Coolidge kick-started the first outdoor National Christmas Tree lighting ceremony. This ceremony has since become a major annual event, attracting thousands of attendees and broadcasted to millions.

But it seems like this year’s tree lighting might be a bit of a damp squib, considering the tree is currently being propped up by a crane. Now, if that’s not a fitting symbol for the current state of affairs, I don’t know what is!

And, as you’d expect, the internet had a field day with the incident. One Twitter user compared Biden’s White House Christmas tree with Trump’s, clearly favoring the latter. Another user quipped, “They can’t even get the little things right.” Ouch! That’s gotta sting!

The House Judiciary GOP went a step further, tweeting, “National Christmas tree falls DOWN. Perfectly summing up Joe Biden’s presidency.” Talk about not mincing words!

Now, I’m not one to kick someone when they’re down, but come on, folks. When even a Christmas tree can’t stand up straight under your watch, you’ve got to wonder if there’s something amiss. And judging by the reactions online, it seems like many Americans share this sentiment.

So, what does this all mean? Well, it’s hard to say. But one thing’s for sure: if the Biden administration can’t even handle a Christmas tree, how can we trust them to handle our country?
