OPINION: What’s Really Going on in Ukraine According to Someone from the Area
I have a friend who is from Albania and actually visits Russia every year to see family.
There are a few things that I would like to mention about her. First of all, as an American now, she is conservative. She voted for President Trump and despised Joe Biden just as much as you or me.
Secondly, I don’t think that she thinks Vladimir Putin is a bad guy overall, at least, that’s not my impression. I think she is objective on the matter.
I was curious as to what her thoughts were on this whole thing going on with Ukraine. So, basically, this is what she said:
She alleges that there is no sudden invasion of Ukraine and that the eastern part of the country has actually been under conflict for the last eight years.
What’s happening right now is that Vladimir Putin is making a more strategic move in order to recognize their independence in that area and is moving troops in order to do so. This, she alleges, stems from a result of NATO and the United States forcing Russia into a conflict.
What this is, she says, is a cover up for the sanctions in this new pipeline as they will be a major supplier of gas to Europe and especially Germany. This pipeline also means that Ukraine will be losing billions of dollars from gas fees because the old route goes through Ukraine, while the new one goes through the Baltic Sea.
It honestly makes you wonder what the Bidens stand to gain from this.
But from what she says, it’s really all about money, control, and power.
In the end, we really don’t know how this is going to turn out. But I can tell you one thing for certain. The United States needs to keep its nose out of this one. We can commentate from afar, but we do not need another war, especially not a time like this. Our country is weak right now and Vladimir Putin knows that. He knows that the world is weak right now and this is why he has chosen this time to move forward with this act of aggression.
