Liberals are in an uproar about what President Trump posted on Twitter about Ilhan Omar’s statement on 9/11 and how she downplayed it so greatly by saying that it was just “some people who did something”.

She didn’t even mention what they did or how bad it was. It’s just, some people that did something.

So President Trump tweeted a video in response with the words, “WE WILL NEVER FORGET!”

Now, according to Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Ilhan Omar’s life is at risk. The Pluralist reports,

Rep. Alexandria, D-N.Y., suggested Friday that President Donald Trump’s criticism of Rep. Ilhan Omar, D-Minn., is part of a Nazi-like campaign that puts every U.S. lawmaker at risk.

Warning that Omar’s “life is in a danger,” Ocasio-Cortez said her fellow members of Congress “have a duty to respond” to Trump’s “explicit attack” on her freshman Democratic colleague. Otherwise, she hinted, they could be the next target of nefarious forces linked to the president.

Ocasio-Cortez tweeted a photo of a famous poem titled, “First They Came” by Martin Niemoller which was written about the Germans’ response or lack thereof to the atrocities that were happening in their country during Hitler’s Third Reich.

First they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out—because I was not a socialist.

Then they came for the trade unionists, and I did not speak out— because I was not a trade unionist.

Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—because I was not a Jew.

Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.

Here is the what Ocasio-Cortez said in the tweet with the poem: Members of Congress have a duty to respond to the President’s explicit attack today. @IlhanMN’s life is in danger. For our colleagues to be silent is to be complicit in the outright, dangerous targeting of a member of Congress. We must speak out. “First they came…”

Followed logically, she thinks that if people don’t stand up for Ilhan Omar, then we’re going to be targeted and our lives threatened.

The thing is President Trump didn’t do anything…Omar did! She’s the one who made the comment. All President Trump did was post that comment with what she was referring to as “some people who did something”.
