Another state has officially decided to force children to go through “gay history” class to learn about all the wonderful things that gay people have done throughout history.

Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker has signed a new bill into law requiring Illinois schools to teach “gay history” to students by the eighth grade.

The new law requires that school textbooks include the “roles and contributions” of all people who are protected under the Illinois Human Rights Acts.

“One of the best ways to overcome intolerance is through education and exposure to different people and viewpoints. An inclusive curriculum will not only teach an accurate version of history but also promote acceptance of the LGBTQ community,” said sponsor of the bill Democratic state Sen. Heather Steans.

“It is my hope that teaching students about the valuable contributions LGBTQ individuals have made throughout history will create a safer environment with fewer incidents of harassment. LGBTQ children and teenagers will also be able to gain new role models who share life experiences with them.”

“The new law’s goal is simple: to understand that people from different backgrounds deserve the same opportunity to learn and be recognized for their contributions in society as everyone else,” added Dem. State Rep. Anna Moeller.

Look, if the left’s mission was really to overcome intolerance, then they would be welcoming things like Christian history or Conservative history. But that’s their goal.

Their real goal is to push their agenda to rid the world of anyone who opposes them.

As Steans said, intolerance is overcome through education and exposure to the differing viewpoints and people. I would love to see them introduce Bible class in school and learn about why God actually hates homosexuality

The bill passed both the Illinois House and Senate and becomes the 5th state in the Union to mandate teaching kids gay history.
