Of of the things that I hate most in this world is cancer. I’ve had friends and family members die from cancer as I’m sure many of you have also.

It is always a tragic thing to deal with and experience. Thankfully, I don’t have cancer nor do I know anyone who currently has it. Some of you may even have it at this moment and I want you to know that if you do, I hope it goes away completely and you live a very long and happy life.

Everyday we get closer learning how to completely get rid of it. There are some ways that seem to work that even medical experts don’t understand such as Gerson Therapy, but now, scientists have potentially discovered the greatest method of eliminating cancer yet!

A new drug can actually kill cancer cells without harming the healthy tissue that is nearby.

Essentially, what this does is sends in a microscopic version of a Trojan Horse to trick the cancer cells into “eating” this drug and then at the right moment…BOOM! That sucker is gone!

The study, which has been peer-reviewed, used zebrafish and human cells. The scientists say more research needs to be conducted to see if it is a safe to treat early-stage cancer and even drug-resistant bacteria.

“Cancerous cells are ‘greedy’ and need to consume high amounts of food for energy and they typically ingest more than healthy cells, said the University of Edinburgh. By coupling SeNBD with a chemical food compound it becomes the ‘ideal prey for harmful cells’ which ingest it ‘without being alerted to its toxic nature,’” the Herald reported.

According to the scientists, SeNBD is a light-activated “photosensitizer,” which means it kills cells when activated by light. Surgeons could use the combo to target cancer cells only while leaving other healthy cells intact.

I can’t emphasize enough how groundbreaking this may turn out to be. More than 600,000 people die from cancer every year in the United States. It is the second-most leading cause of death in the country.
