The Democratic Darling, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez who has quickly become one of the most talked about names in politics is now losing her support.

We have seen recent polls which shed a negative light on the Representative as increasingly more people view Ocasio-Cortez in a negative manner.

There were recent votes in both the Senate and the House of Representatives for her “Green New Deal” in which not a single person voted for the motion. She has been fighting with other Democrats in Congress, including the House Speaker Nancy Pelosi. She’s also brought some serious ethics complaints involving her boyfriend. And let’s not forget how she ran Amazon’s HQ2 out of New York City resulting in a loss of 25,000 jobs and billions of dollars in tax revenue.

But now, many of her voters are turning on her as well.

I see her on TV a lot but not in the neighborhood. You are supposed to come to the people without the media. You are one of us. You worked in a bar. You are not a princess,” waitress Barbara Nosel told the Washington Times.

“People are billing her as a superstar. I think she doesn’t have enough experience,” said lawyer Manuel Fabian, 65, a registered Democrat. He said Ms. Ocasio-Cortez’s policies “lack substance, depth. The Green New Deal looks good on paper, but I’m reluctant to give the government so much power and I don’t think this country is ready to embrace a socialist platform and I don’t think we ever will be.”

“I admire her oomph. She’s Puerto Rican. She’s fighting for middle America,” Iris Acosta, a retired teacher, told The Times. “I just don’t like her being too fast, in your face. Go a little slower, and she could do a lot.”

“All is definitely not A-OK for AOC. Most voters either don’t like the firebrand freshman Congresswoman or don’t know who she is,” Tim Malloy, associate director of the Quinnipiac University Poll, said.

The good thing is that Ocasio-Cortez will be up for re-election in 2020 in which I’m certain she will be easily voted out of office.
