House Representative Rashida Tlaib announced that she plans to file articles of impeachment against President Trump by the end of the month.

Tlaib said, “Later on this month, I will be joining folks and advocates across the country to file the impeachment resolution to start the impeachment proceedings,” Tlaib said at a press conference Wednesday. “I think every single colleague of mine agrees there’s impeachable offenses. That’s one thing that we all agree on. We may disagree on the pace.”

The Democratic drumbeat toward impeaching President Trump grew louder Wednesday morning when Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-Mich.) announced she will soon introduce legislation to oust the president.

Democratic leaders have sought to deter members of the caucus from pressing the impeachment issue, arguing the need for further investigations into Trump’s actions in office. They’re concerned that without more evidence of presidential wrongdoing — and more public support for impeachment — the issue could backfire on the Democrats at the polls next year.

But Tlaib, a firebrand freshman who has long advocated for impeachment, said constituents and activists are clamoring for Democrats to launch the effort, creating “a sense of urgency” that will compel her to introduce articles before month’s end.

“We saw record turnout in an election year, where people wanted to elect a jury that would begin the impeachment proceedings to Donald Trump,” Tlaib said during a packed press briefing in the foyer of her Capitol Hill office.

Tlaib joins a small but growing group of House Democrats who are pressing forward with formal efforts to unseat the president against the wishes of party leaders.

Her plan is doomed to fail. There is no question about it.

Democrats have been trying to get President Trump on collusion for over two years now and what have they uncovered? Absolutely nothing against him.

If anything, Rashida Tlaib is going to be exposed and removed from her position just like Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez for violating campaign funding laws.

In an FEC complaint, Tlaib paid herself $17,500 as a salary after the elections were over which is a violation of campaign finance rules.
