Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is back in the news in her usual fashion again. This time she decided to attack the newly signed “fetal hearbeat bill” which was passed in Georgia.

On Tuesday morning, Georgia Governor Brian Kemp signed into law the “fetal heartbeat bill” which bans abortions from being performed as soon as a heartbeat can be detected.

This makes this law one of the most restrictive abortion laws in the United States.

Typically a heartbeat can be detected around six weeks into a pregnancy.

AOC doesn’t seem to think that’s very fair to women because they often don’t find out that they’re pregnant until after that point.

She took to Twitter to let everyone know what she thinks about it.

“‘6 weeks pregnant’ = 2 weeks late on your period.

Most of the men writing these bills don’t know the first thing about a woman’s body outside of the things they want from it. It’s relatively common for a woman to have a late period + not be pregnant. So this is a backdoor ban.

For context, this kicks in within days of a typical at-home test working. If you were sexually assaulted (stress delays cycle), took a morning-after pill (throws off cycle), or have an irregular cycle, you‘d have no idea. There are a TON of ways this law ignores basic biology.”

Umm…yes we do exactly what’s going on here.

We do not want abortion at all!

Here’s the thing they’re failing to understand. That is a baby inside of the mother. Not just a clump of cells because even as adults we are still a clump of cells. That’s what we’re all made of.

It is a living human being. It is a person. Just because they cannot be seen by the naked eye because they are on the inside of the mother, does not mean that it is any less human.

Everything about it screams that it’s human. It has human DNA, it’s own blood type, every chromosome to determine what it will look like.
