Bernie Sanders Tells Disney How To Spend Their Money From Avengers Movie
The new Avengers movie, “Avengers: Endgame” has hit record level numbers already on its debut weekend.
It’s reported that the movie grossed an estimated $1.2 billion globally on its opening weekend.
Bloomberg reports,
The movie took in $1.22 billion globally in its debut, collecting $357.1 million in the U.S. and Canada alone, and blowing through the $258 million mark held by the superhero team’s own gloved hands with last year’s “Infinity War.” Walt Disney Co. now boasts the top four spots for domestic opening weekends, rounded out by “The Last Jedi” and “The Force Awakens” from the Star Wars franchise, according to researcher Comscore Inc.
Optimism about the film helped send Disney shares on a four-day winning streak last week, with the stock hitting an all-time high on Friday. It retreated a bit on Monday, slipping 0.4 percent to $139.30.
Disney produced a good product and the company’s efforts have turned out well enough to make a good profit.
You know what that means, Grandpa Bernie thinks that they should give all their lower paid employees that money.
According to The Daily Caller,
2020 Democratic candidate Bernie Sanders suggested on Twitter Monday that Disney spend its $1.2 billion in “Avengers: Endgame” profits on higher wages for the movie’s staff.
Disney’s “Avengers: Endgame” brought in $1.2 billion in just its first weekend, making it the first film in history to surpass $1 billion in its first two days, according to Vanity Fair.
Sen. Sanders responded to the film’s massive success on Twitter, urging Disney to use its profits to pay its employees “a middle-class wage” instead of overpaying its executives. He linked his comments to a Bloomberg article about the new box office record-breaker.
One Twitter user sums up the perfect inconsistency with Bernie and his suggestion.
“Let me get this straight. Sanders vilifies a man and company who actually work and produce a good product. A product their customers want. Conversely, Sanders doesnt work and is part of a group that has gotten ZERO done for Americans. If this was a company, Sanders would be fired” – MAGA.reb

It’s clear Bernie doesn’t understand that the whole reason those people even have those jobs is that they produce good products and can afford to keep them employed. What happens when the next movie flops and they lose money? Do they not pay the employees? Do they lay them off because the company wasn’t profitable at that time?
I don’t think Bernie would advocate for that.
