Newly sworn-in Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez

If you don’t already know, Ocasio-Cortez is a “Democratic Socialist” (aka Socialist) from New York who didn’t waste any time starting controversy on her first day in the office. She decided to vote against Nancy Pelosi which didn’t turn out well.

But this time, Ocasio-Cortez is exchanging blows with Republican Representative Steve Scalise.

In a tweet Saturday morning, Rep. Steve Scalise wrote,

“Republicans: Let Americans keep more of their own hard-earned money, Democrats: Take away 70% of your income and give it to leftist fantasy programs.”

Rep. Ocasio-Cortez then replied back that night assertive that Steve Scalise doesn’t, “know how marginal tax rates work,” and then proceeded to launch an attack which has nothing to do with what Scalise has tweeted. She said, “Oh that’s right, almost forgot: GOP works for the corporate CEOs showering themselves in multi-million bonuses; not the actual working people whose wages + healthcare they’re ripping off for profit.”

What happened next was very telling of the type of people who support Ocasio-Cortez. Some of them actually advocated for murdering the Representative!

According to Fox News,

U.S. Rep. Steve Scalise, R-La., abruptly halted a Twitter debate with newcomer Democrat Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of New York early Sunday morning after at least three commenters made references to the June 2017 shooting in which Scalise and three other people were shot by a left-wing activist.

“snipe his a–,” one Twitter user wrote, in support of Ocasio-Cortez. (The user later denied that the post was a call for political violence, writing, “not seeing any violence there sorry” and telling Fox News it referred only to a verbal “sniping.”)

“she’s got better aim than James Hodgkinson, that’s for sure,” another wrote, comparing Ocasio-Cortez’s Twitter responses to the marksmanship of the suspect in the Virginia shooting, a Bernie Sanders supporter who later died in a shootout with police.

“Kick his cane,” a third wrote.

Rep. Scalise had the following reply which shut the whole thing down,

Why do these people think this is okay? Oh, because they’re liberal socialists, that’s why.
