ABC Presses Vance On Immigration Claims
It’s no surprise that when Vice President Kamala Harris’s disastrous border policies get called out, the media rushes to run interference. During an interview on ABC’s *This Week*, GOP vice presidential candidate Sen. J.D. Vance had a telling exchange with Martha Raddatz about the Venezuelan gang problem in Aurora, Colorado.
Raddatz, ever the loyal mouthpiece for the left, tried to downplay the seriousness of the situation, claiming it was “limited to a handful of apartment complexes” and suggesting that it was blown out of proportion by Donald Trump during a recent rally. But Vance wasn’t having it.
“Only a handful of apartment complexes in America were taken over by Venezuelan gangs,” Vance fired back, highlighting how absurd it is to minimize even a “few” neighborhoods in America being overrun by violent criminals. The media, as usual, is more interested in nitpicking Trump’s language than addressing the real issue—our communities are under siege because of this administration’s open-border disaster.
Let’s get real here: When you let millions of unvetted people pour into the country, most of whom we know absolutely nothing about, it’s only a matter of time before dangerous criminals slip through. And that’s exactly what’s happening. These aren’t just isolated incidents. Venezuelan gangs, like *Tren de Aragua*, are wreaking havoc, yet the left acts like it’s just a few bad apples in a couple of buildings. Tell that to the people who live in those complexes, terrified of the gangs kicking down doors with guns in hand.
Aurora’s Republican Mayor Mike Coffman, in his response to Trump’s rally, tried to downplay the problem too, claiming the issue was “grossly exaggerated.” Really, Mike? Are we supposed to just accept that because only *some* areas have been terrorized, the rest of us should shrug it off?
This isn’t just about Aurora; it’s a symptom of the broader problem—the complete and utter failure of Harris and Biden’s border policy. And instead of fixing it, the Democrats keep telling us we should be grateful that it’s not happening everywhere… yet.
Raddatz’s insistence that Aurora wasn’t “invaded” only shows how out of touch the media and the Democrats are with what’s really going on in this country. Vance was spot on when he said, “Americans are fed up.” You think these people care if it’s one apartment complex or one thousand? They want their neighborhoods safe, and they want leaders who will actually do something about it instead of downplaying the danger.
The facts are simple: under Biden and Harris, the border has been thrown wide open, criminal gangs are pouring in, and instead of confronting the issue, the media would rather nitpick and protect their preferred candidates.
But come November, the American people won’t forget who stood by as our communities became battlegrounds. They’ll remember who took action, and who, like Kamala Harris, pretended everything was just fine.
