The ongoing spectacle of Joe Biden’s presidency continues to astound anyone paying attention, and yet somehow, the media remains disinterested in what is undoubtedly one of the most bizarre political scandals of our time. Despite exiting the 2024 race back in July, Biden still holds the highest office in the land, insisting he’s mentally and physically fit while simultaneously being too unfit to run for re-election.

The contradictions are glaring, but there’s no serious scrutiny from the press. Instead, we’re left watching him flounder in public, seemingly disconnected from the duties of the job he’s supposed to be performing.

The latest embarrassing display happened at an event with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, where Biden once again fumbled his way through a speech, looking confused and disoriented. After awkwardly thanking the audience, he was supposed to introduce Modi. But what followed was a cringeworthy moment that should have had alarm bells ringing across the country.

Biden stammered, “Who am I introducing next?” before angrily shouting, “Who’s next?” with his mouth agape and visible confusion on his face. It took nearly ten painful seconds before a female voice stepped in to introduce Modi, as Biden stood there, completely lost.

This is the President of the United States—a man who, in all honesty, appears completely incapable of performing even the most basic functions of his role. There’s no spinning it anymore. Biden’s public appearances, once shrugged off as innocent gaffes or played for laughs, have now turned into disturbing spectacles of a man clearly in cognitive decline.

And it’s no wonder that we’re seeing Jill Biden taking a more prominent role, from leading cabinet meetings to handling media engagements. The presidency, it seems, is being held together by threads, with Biden barely able to stand at the forefront.

What’s more infuriating is the lack of outrage from the press. These same journalists who once howled for Trump’s removal over drinking a glass of water with two hands are now completely silent as Biden stumbles through his presidency. If this were happening under a Republican administration, there would be a relentless media frenzy, wall-to-wall coverage questioning the president’s ability to serve. Instead, we get puff pieces about Kamala Harris’ supposed “joy” and soft-focus stories on how she’s gearing up for the future, all while the country is effectively without a functioning president.

How did we get here? Simple: Harris, Biden, and the rest of their administration lied. They sold the American people a bill of goods, promising leadership and stability, but have delivered neither. Instead, we have a government that seems to be operating on autopilot, with no accountability for the mess they’ve created. Biden’s cognitive issues were obvious to anyone paying attention during the 2020 campaign, but the media buried the story, and now the consequences are playing out in real time. The United States is leaderless, and yet, few seem to care.

This complacency is dangerous. The silence from the press and the lack of action from within the administration signal a broader problem. We’ve reached a point where it’s no longer about hiding Biden’s decline—it’s all out in the open. But as long as the media and political establishment continue to cover for him, this slow-motion disaster will keep unfolding, leaving the American people to bear the cost.
