Kamala Does Livestream Rally With Oprah
Kamala Harris’ latest event with Oprah Winfrey was supposed to be a massive opportunity to connect with voters and solidify her campaign presence, but it was anything but.
Despite The New York Times fawning over the event, with headlines like “Harris Hits Core Campaign Themes in Emotional Forum With Oprah Winfrey,” the reality couldn’t have been more different. The live event barely managed to attract 10,000 viewers—a far cry from the supposed “hundreds of thousands” claimed by some outlets.
This wasn’t just a failure in numbers, but a failure in content. Harris, known for her word-salad speeches, didn’t disappoint. She once again left viewers puzzled with incoherent statements like, “In terms of both rightly having the right to have aspirations and dreams and ambitions for your family and working hard and finding that the American Dream is, for this generation & so many recently, far more elusive than it’s been, and we need to deal with that.”

What does that even mean? Nothing sticks, nothing lands. Even Oprah, the queen of connecting with audiences, couldn’t save the vice president from stumbling through another aimless speech that felt hollow and disconnected. Harris’ lack of substance was on full display, and no amount of emotional manipulation from Oprah could turn that around.
KAMALA: “In terms of both rightly having the right to have aspirations and dreams and ambitions for your family and working hard and finding that the American Dream is, for this generation & so many recently, far more elusive than it’s been, and we need to deal with that.”

The Times, of course, tried to frame this event as some kind of Obama-like triumph, describing it as a moment where Harris “passionately confronted pressing issues.” Yet, anyone watching knew it was a mess, with the vice president lost in vague platitudes and robotic delivery. Her body language and lack of eye contact made it even worse. It’s painfully clear that Harris isn’t cut out for this kind of leadership role, and she knows it. But that doesn’t stop her media allies from trying to manufacture a narrative of success where none exists.

The Times can keep pushing their fantasy of Harris as a dynamic, inspirational figure, but Americans aren’t buying it. When the cameras are off and the media spin stops, what’s left is a politician who simply can’t get her message straight. And no amount of celebrity endorsements or teary-eyed virtual audiences can cover up the fact that Kamala Harris is in over her head.
