White House Responds To NYT’s Report
On Wednesday the White House quickly responded to a New York Times report about President Biden.
The claim from the New York Times was that President Biden was seriously considering whether he can continue as the Democratic presidential nominee. On Wednesday, the Times reported that Biden has confided to a “key ally” that he understands he may not be able to secure re-election if he fails to convince the American public of his fitness to serve following a poor debate performance.
“The president, who the ally emphasized is still deeply in the fight for re-election, understands that his next few appearances heading into the holiday weekend — including an interview scheduled for Friday with George Stephanopoulos of ABC News and campaign stops in Pennsylvania and Wisconsin — must go well,” the report stated.
“He knows if he has two more events like that, we’re in a different place” by the end of the weekend, the unnamed source told the Times. Another top adviser reportedly said Biden is “well aware of the political challenge he faces.”
However, White House spokesman Andrew Bates quickly slameed the report. “That claim is absolutely false. If the New York Times had provided us with more than 7 minutes to comment, we would have told them so,” he told Fox News.
Additionally, Quentin Fulks, the principal deputy Biden campaign manager, denounced the report calling it “false” during an appearance on CNN, adding, “There are a number of rumors floating out there. The president is in this race to win it. He is the Democratic nominee. And from our perspective, we are going to continue to do everything we can to make sure that we’re building a campaign apparatus, to reach voters.”
At 81 years old, Biden is the oldest president in U.S. history and is currently experiencing a rough stretch in his bid for a second term. His halting delivery and stumbling answers at the CNN Presidential Debate last Thursday caused widespread concern within the Democratic Party and led to calls from political pundits, editorial writers, and party donors for Biden to step aside as the party’s 2024 candidate. In the past 24 hours, a small but growing number of elected Democrats have also urged the president to reconsider his re-election bid.
Those concerns weren’t eased when Biden made an appearance this week to announce new government regulations. Biden was captured shaking a man’s hand and it was incredibly creepy.

It’s about as gross as when Joe got a little handsy with Eva Longoria.
People are accusing Joe Biden of getting too ‘touchy’ with actress Eva Longoria pic.twitter.com/j2EqvUmr6N
