Over the weekend, Joe Biden made a remarkable impact in the campaign fundraising sector. The President held a significant $28 million at a Los Angeles event trying to catch up to the haul brought in by Trump’s team.

However, that a notable chunk of that fundraising victory came from the active participation of former President Barack Obama at the event. However, it wasn’t Biden’s fundraising expertise or any articulate speeches by the two politicians that sparked conversations. Instead, it was an unusual moment at the event’s close that is raising concerns.

The Biden campaign’s efforts to dismiss a clip that showed the President seemingly lost claiming that the video is a “cheap fake.”

“Fresh off being fact checked by at least 6 mainstream news organizations for lying about President Biden with cheap fakes, Rupert Murdoch’s sad little super pac, the New York Post, is back to disrespecting it’s readers and itself once again by pretending the President taking in an applauding crowd for a few seconds is somehow wrong,” Bates’s statement said. “Their ethical standards could deal with a little unfreezing.”

However, some people are claiming that Obama did it on purpose to make himself look better.

In a recent social media post, one commentator wrote, “Biden may be senile and frail, but it’s uncertain if Obama needed to guide him away. Biden had just been applauding moments earlier and then stood there soaking up the applause when Obama reached out and grabbed his wrist. I would guess that White House staff is annoyed with Obama.”

As always, the truth can be tricky to pin down, and it’s possible Biden had another lapse. We can’t know for sure, but considering recent history, it’s reasonable to predict there will be more such incidents to speculate on as the summer campaign season continues.
