In a recent development, George Clooney, actor, director, and staunch supporter of President Joe Biden, reached out to the White House to express his displeasure over Biden’s criticism of the International Criminal Court (ICC).

Clooney is fired up after his wife took part in the ICC’s decision to issue arrest warrants for key leaders of Israel and Hamas due to their involvement in the war in Gaza. Among those facing these warrants are Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Yoav Gallant. The charges, brought forward by the ICC, stem from allegations of war crimes.

Biden’s reaction to these warrants was swift and pointed. He labeled the ICC’s actions as “outrageous,” a stance that did not sit well with Clooney. In this email, Clooney passionately urged supporters to donate to ensure Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris secure another term in office, framing the upcoming election as a crucial “battle for the soul of our nation.”
