Trump Holds Rally In The Bronx
Hey folks, let’s dive right into it! Former President Donald Trump has made quite the splash with his recent statements at a rally in the Bronx, taking aim at what he calls “radical left pro-crime policies.” These policies, according to Trump, have wreaked havoc on New York City, and he’s not holding back in his criticism.
Trump didn’t mince words when he spoke about the effects of these policies. “Very sadly, in recent years, we have also seen our city destroyed by bad radical left pro-crime policy that virtually everyone – Republican, Democrat, Independent, everyone – you all know it’s a disaster,” he declared. It’s clear he’s passionate about this issue, and he pointed out specific policies he believes are to blame: no cash bail, defunding the police, sanctuary cities, and releasing violent repeat offenders from jail.
Now, let’s unpack this a bit. The no cash bail policy, for instance, was implemented in New York in 2019, eliminating cash bail for most misdemeanors and non-violent felony offenses. The intention was to address the inequities in the bail system, but critics like Trump argue it’s led to more crime on the streets.
Trump also highlighted the tragic murder of New York City Police Officer Jonathan Diller. During a traffic stop in March, Diller was killed by a suspect with over 20 prior arrests. Trump emphasized the repeat offenses of both the alleged killer and an accomplice, who had more than a dozen arrests. “The criminal charged with savagely murdering Officer Diller was previously arrested by the NYPD 21 times, and he was allowed to go out because of the political things they do here,” Trump said, underscoring his point that these individuals should never have been on the streets.
In his rally speech, Trump didn’t just highlight problems—he also vowed action. He promised to stand up to what he called “Marxist D.A.s and Soros prosecutors,” stating firmly, “We’re not going to stand for it. We will not let them destroy our communities. We will not let them destroy our country.”
Trump’s remarks have certainly sparked a lot of discussions. Whether you agree with him or not, there’s no denying that public safety and criminal justice are critical issues that affect everyone and people at the rally agreed.
Watch what happened during an MSNBC segment, and to be honest, I can’t believe that they aired it.
MSNBC on President Trump’s rally in the Bronx:
“A lot of the people … were first time voters”
“Some had never been to a Trump event before”
“Some had voted for Obama twice and voted for Biden — and are now saying they are going to vote for former President Trump”
