Kamala And Biden Take Part In Event Honoring Asian Americans, Native Hawaiian’s & Pacific Islanders

At a recent event celebrating Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander Heritage Month, President Joe Biden’s speech attracted significant attention due to a series of awkward comments. During his address, President Biden opened with the line, “My name’s Joe Biden. I work for Kamala Harris,” which led to a mixed reaction of laughter and applause from the audience. He continued by explaining his choice of Vice President, saying, “I asked her to be my vice president because I knew I needed somebody smarter than me.”

In the same speech, the President encountered difficulties with the teleprompter, which resulted in a somewhat disjointed delivery about the diversity within the Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander communities. His struggle with the teleprompter contributed to the overall awkwardness of his presentation, particularly when he repeatedly mispronounced Vice President Kamala Harris’s name, further adding to the uncomfortable atmosphere.

Meanwhile, Vice President Harris also made headlines during her appearance at the Asian Pacific American Institute for Congressional Studies (APAICS) Legislative Leadership Summit. In a moment that quickly went viral, she spouted profanity during a live-streamed event at the White House.

The following day Biden made a strange comment to a woman in the audience as well.
