Vivek Ramaswamy Calls For Letitia James To Be Disbarred: ‘Threat To Every American’
Vivek Ramaswamy takes a bold stand against Attorney General Letitia James, calling for her disbarment amid a heated civil fraud case involving Donald Trump.
Businessman Vivek Ramaswamy has ignited a firestorm by demanding the disbarment of Attorney General Letitia James, labeling her actions a dire threat to every American. Ramaswamy minced no words as he condemned James’ pursuit of Donald Trump through the legal system, accusing her of wielding power unjustly. He emphasized, “The Letitia James crusade against Donald Trump is disgusting and is a threat to every American.”
In a video statement, Ramaswamy lambasted James’ handling of the case, asserting that it represented a dangerous overreach of prosecutorial power. He argued, “When you have prosecutors who are elected to office on a promise of going after one particular individual as she campaigned on, then go on to keep a campaign promise using the legal system to do it, it’s unjust.”
Ramaswamy’s outrage stems from James’ move to impose a staggering $454 million fine on Trump, which he contends violates constitutional rights. He highlighted the Eighth Amendment, which prohibits excessive fines, stating, “The 8th Amendment prevents the imposition of excessive bail or excessive fines. And if there’s ever an example that meets that to a T, it is the bond that’s been demanded of Donald Trump in this disgusting New York Letitia James-led prosecution.”
The impending seizure of Trump’s properties by James further fueled Ramaswamy’s condemnation. He criticized James’ actions as a blatant abuse of power, declaring, “It’s disgusting. It is a threat to not only private property, but a threat to the justice system and to the rights of every American.”
Ramaswamy isn’t alone in his call for action. Former Acting Attorney General Matt Whitaker echoed concerns about constitutional violations, predicting Supreme Court intervention. Whitaker asserted, “But, you know, there are supposed to be no excessive fines and, you know, no cruel and unusual punishment.”
With the deadline looming for Trump to pay the hefty fine, the legal battle intensifies, raising broader questions about justice, power, and the rule of law in America.
