Huge Discovery Made in Bob Menendez Bribery Case
The investigation into the bribery case involving Senator Bob Menendez (D-NJ) has taken a new turn with the discovery of a direct link between the recovered gold bars and one of the men accused of bribing the senator. This revelation raises serious questions about the integrity of Senator Menendez and the corruption allegations against him.
The story begins in 2013 when businessman Fred Daibes reported an armed robbery, claiming that he had been a victim and that the assailants had taken $500,000 in cash and nearly two dozen gold bars from him. Fortunately, the police were able to apprehend the suspects, and Daibes’ property, including the stolen gold bars, was returned to him. It is important to note that each of these gold bars had unique serial numbers, ensuring that they could be easily identified and traced.
According to Daibes, who had to provide a certification of ownership, the gold bars were all stamped with distinct serial numbers that would never be duplicated. He stated during the investigation, “Each gold bar has its own serial number. They’re all stamped…you’ll never see two stamped the same way.”
Fast forward to the present, and we find that four of the gold bars recovered from Senator Menendez’s home have the exact same serial numbers as four of the 22 gold bars stolen from Daibes in the 2013 robbery. This coincidence raises serious concerns about the source of these gold bars and their connection to the bribery allegations against Menendez.
The federal indictment alleges that Menendez, along with his wife, had a corrupt relationship with New Jersey businessmen Wael Hana, Jose Uribe, and Fred Daibes. These businessmen are accused of providing Menendez with bribes worth hundreds of thousands of dollars, with the intention of protecting their own interests and benefiting Egypt. The discovery of the gold bars with matching serial numbers adds weight to these allegations and strengthens the case against Menendez.
The discovery of the direct link between the recovered gold bars and the 2013 robbery poses significant challenges for Senator Menendez. Legal analysts, such as NBC’s Danny Cevallas, believe that the chain of custody in this case will be easy to prove, further complicating Menendez’s defense. Cevallas remarked, “All of this spells bad news for Senator Menendez because the chain of custody – it appears – is going to be really easy to prove up.”
The calls for Menendez’s expulsion from the Senate are growing louder. Senator John Fetterman (D-PA) recently called for Menendez’s removal, citing the expulsion of former Representative George Santos (R-NY). Fetterman argued, “Senator Menendez, he needs to go…how can you allow somebody like Menendez to remain in the Senate?” Fetterman went on to criticize Menendez, claiming that he is more concerned with Egypt than with representing the interests of New Jersey.
