Republican Congressman EXPELLED from Congress in House Vote
George Santos (R-NY), the notorious fibber who danced his way into Congress with a phony resume is done. It seems the House has had enough of his shenanigans and shown him the door. And guess what? He’s the first U.S. representative to get the boot since 2002. If that’s not a headline, I don’t know what is. Just before 11 a.m., Jake Sherman, our favorite veteran Capitol Hill reporter, spilled the beans. The voting was nearing its close, and lo and behold, there were more than enough votes to give Santos the heave-ho.
But the drama didn’t end there. Despite the impending cloud of expulsion, a majority of the House Republicans voted to keep Santos on board. I mean, talk about sticking by your man! However, this historic vote didn’t exactly come as a bolt from the blue. Even Santos saw the writing on the wall.

A previous attempt by New York Republicans to expel Santos in November failed to gain traction. Some GOP members were worried about setting a dangerous precedent of expulsion without conviction. But things took a sharp turn when the House Ethics Committee concluded that Santos had committed serious violations, including using campaign donations for Botox and other personal needs.
This report came hot on the heels of Santos’ arrest and charges of fraud and money laundering – all of which he has vehemently denied. Yet, in September, he began plea negotiations with federal prosecutors.
Santos, the ever-defiant, made quite the spectacle during his exit. Dressed in a black overcoat, he strutted across the floor, shaking hands, and left the chamber before the voting concluded. A dramatic exit for a man who brought plenty of drama to the House.
So, what’s the takeaway here? Well, it’s pretty simple. No matter how high you climb with lies and deceit, the truth always has a way of catching up. And when it does, it’s not a pretty sight. Just ask George Santos.
