A couple of weeks after President Trump’s lawyers requested a meeting, they finally met with Justice Department officials regarding the Mar-a-Lago classified documents case. The investigation led by Special Counsel Jack Smith revolves around Trump’s storage of presidential records at Mar-a-Lago and potential obstruction of the probe.

CBS News has reported that a decision about indicting Trump on federal charges will be made soon.

“Several sources with knowledge of the investigation believe that a charging decision in the documents case is imminent, and Trump lawyers in recent days were expected to meet at some point with the Justice Department to talk through where things stand and to potentially lay out their concerns about the prosecutors’ efforts so far.” CBS reported.

On Monday morning, Trump’s lawyers John Rowley and James Trusty had a two-hour meeting with officials at the Justice Department, as per reports. Later that day, President Trump hinted that there might be federal charges coming soon after his lawyers met with DOJ officials.

ALSO, PRESIDENT CLINTON HAD DOCUMENTS, AND WON IN COURT. CROOKED HILLARY DELETED 33,000 EMAILS, MANY CLASSIFIED, AND WASN’T EVEN CLOSE TO BEING CHARGED! ONLY TRUMP – THE GREATEST WITCH HUNT OF ALL TIME!” Trump said in a Truth Social post Monday morning.

It’s insane to me that they are potentially going to charge President Trump with some federal charges, but not other presidents and vice presidents. Joe Biden had way more documents in his possession than Trump did. They just announced that Mike Pence won’t face any charges, yet Trump probably will. It’s definitely a witch hunt.
