NO MORE GAMES: Comer Goes After Wray After Refusing Once Again to Hand Over Biden Doc
On Monday, House Oversight Chairman James Comer reported that the FBI had once again declined to provide the Biden bribery document. This comes after reports over the weekend claimed that Chris Wray had agreed to furnish the unclassified document revealing a $5 million criminal scheme involving Joe Biden, giving in to Comer’s demands.
Chairman Comer has reviewed an important document and requested that the FBI give custody of the record to the House Oversight Committee. This will enable others to review it as he continues his investigation into the Biden crime family. However, the FBI has refused to comply. As a result, Comer plans to start contempt of Congress hearings this Thursday.
“At the briefing again, the FBI again refused to hand over the unclassified record to the custody of the House Oversight Committee — and we will now initiate contempt of Congress hearings this Thursday,” Comer said.
“Congress must investigate further,” he said.
The reporter inquired about the possibility of the newly discovered document revealing additional Biden family business dealings with foreign countries. In response, Comer explained that the document, dated June 30, 2020, indicates a repeated occurrence of bribery through the use of shell accounts across multiple banks.
“There’s a term for that — it’s called ‘money laundering,’” Comer said.
“The FBI confirmed the unclassified record alleging then-VP Biden engaged in a $5 million bribery scheme is from a highly credible informant & being used in an ongoing investigation.” Comer said.
Here is the full statement from Comer:
WASHINGTON—House Committee on Oversight and Accountability Chairman James Comer (R-Ky.) issued the following statement after receiving a briefing from the FBI about the unclassified record alleging then-Vice President Joe Biden engaged in a $5 million bribery scheme with a foreign national in exchange for certain actions:
“Today, FBI officials confirmed that the unclassified, FBI-generated record has not been disproven and stated several times the information contained within it is currently being used in an ongoing investigation. The confidential human source who provided information about then-Vice President Biden being involved in a criminal bribery scheme is a trusted, highly credible informant who has been used by the FBI for years. These are facts and no amount of spin, and frankly lies, from the White House or Congressional Democrats can change this information.
“At the briefing, the FBI again refused to hand over the unclassified record to the custody of the House Oversight Committee and we will now initiate contempt of Congress proceedings. Given the severity and complexity of the allegations contained within this record, Congress must investigate further. Americans have lost trust in the FBI’s ability to enforce the law impartially and demand answers, transparency, and accountability. The Oversight Committee must follow the facts for the American people and ensure the federal government is held accountable.”
