McCarthy Threatens FBI Director Christopher Wray
House Speaker Kevin McCarthy demanded FBI Director Christopher Wray to submit a document that alleges Joe Biden’s involvement in a bribery scheme by the end of the day Tuesday. If Christopher Wray fails to comply with this demand, McCarthy has threatened to initiate contempt of Congress charges against him.
McCarthy said very bluntly that he is ready and willing to move forward with charges against Wray if necessary.
“[Congressman] Comer (R-KY) subpoenaed the document that we’ve requested. We have jurisdiction over the FBI, which they seem to act like we do not. I personally called Director Wray and told him he needs to send that document. Today is the deadline. So let me not just tell you, let me tell Director Christopher Wray right here, right now: if he misses the deadline today, I am prepared to move contempt charges in Congress against him,” said McCarthy.
NEW: McCarthy once again threatens criminal charges against FBI Director Wray TODAY for failing to comply with the House in their investigation into Biden Family crimes.

The document being referred to includes testimony from an informant who stated that the current president was involved in a $5 million bribery scheme when he held the position of vice president. The informant gave this briefing in June 2020, shortly after Ukrainian officials announced that they had intercepted $5 million in bribes allegedly paid to terminate an investigation into Mykola Zlochevsky, founder of Burisma Energy where Hunter Biden was a member of the board.
Federal authorities are investigating Hunter Biden for potential tax crimes and making false statements on documents related to purchasing a firearm.
The FBI has shared information about their use of informants with Rep. Comer and the members of the House Oversight Committee. However, they have declined to release the document that names the informant and their testimony that implicates the president in a bribery scheme. The FBI has stated that releasing the document would confirm the allegations, which are currently only unverified claims.
