The FBI is once again under fire for refusing to turn over key documents that detail a bribery scheme between Joe Biden and a foreign national. This latest scandal comes just weeks after the Justice Department declined to use the FBI in its investigation of Biden’s emails.

According to House Oversight Chairman James Comer, the FBI has refused to provide him with an internal law enforcement document that some Republicans allege implicates Joe Biden in a bribery scheme. The document reportedly describes a “criminal scheme” involving then-Vice President Biden and an unnamed foreign national.

“Based on whistleblower disclosures, the Department of Justice and the Federal Bureau of Investigation possess an unclassified FD-1023 form that describes an alleged criminal scheme involving then-Vice President Biden and a foreign national relating to the exchange of money for policy decisions. It has been alleged that the document includes a precise description of how the alleged criminal scheme was employed as well as its purpose.” the Oversight Committee said.

“It’s clear from the FBI’s response that the unclassified record the Oversight Committee subpoenaed exists, but they are refusing to provide it to the Committee. We’ve asked the FBI to not only provide this record, but to also inform us what it did to investigate these allegations. The FBI has failed to do both. The FBI’s position is ‘trust, but you aren’t allowed to verify.’ That is unacceptable. We plan to follow up with the FBI and expect compliance with the subpoena,” said Chairman Comer.

This refusal by the FBI has raised serious questions about their commitment to transparency and accountability. It also raises suspicions that the agency may be trying to protect Biden from scrutiny.

The allegations against Biden are particularly troubling given his long history of ethical lapses while serving as Vice President and Senator from Delaware. In addition, this isn’t the first time he has been accused of taking bribes or engaging in shady business deals with foreign nationals.

The American people deserve answers about this latest scandal involving Biden. Unfortunately, it appears that the FBI is more interested in protecting their favored candidate than they are in getting to the bottom of this matter.
