Testifying on the Biden border crisis at a hearing by the Congressional Progressive Caucus, an HHS employee, Tara Lee Rodas, revealed horrifying details. She highlighted the fact that under Joe Biden’s watch, over 5 million illegal aliens, including migrant children, have flooded across the US Southern Border. Some of these children are currently unaccounted for, with at least 85,000 of them missing.

Tara’s testimony painted a gruesome picture of the suffering experienced by these migrant children. Many of them work overnight shifts in factories and restaurants to pay off their smugglers and traffickers. Some are even sold into different forms of exploitation. Some have to make frantic calls to report being abused, neglected, and trafficked.

Tara also shared her personal experience working with the HHS Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR) at the Pomona Fairplex Emergency Intake Site in California. Although her goal was to help place children in loving homes, what she found was the complete opposite. She discovered that a sophisticated and complex trafficking network exists, with children being recruited in their home countries, smuggled to the US border, and then delivered to sponsors by the ORR.

Unfortunately, many of these sponsors are criminals, traffickers, and members of Transnational Criminal Organizations. Others view these children only as commodities and assets to be used for earning income, which has resulted in an increase in labor trafficking. Based on these findings, Tara argued that the US Government has become the middleman in a massive child trafficking operation run by bad actors.

During her testimony, Tara gave a detailed account of what she witnessed at the Pomona Fairplex. Vulnerable indigenous children from Guatemala, who speak only Mayan dialects and cannot communicate in English or Spanish, become captive to their sponsors. Moreover, case managers had to recount horrible things that were done to some of these children on their journey. She saw several cases of sponsors trying to sponsor children from multiple ORR sites using different addresses.

Today, children will work shifts at slaughter houses, factories & restaurants to pay their debt to smugglers & traffickers.

Kids will call a hotline to report they're being abused & trafficked.
