2024 Challenger Believes He’ll ‘Torpedo’ Trump
This is the year where we start seeing who all is going to be running for president in 2024. After all, the election is just next year…and it can’t come soon enough. From the Republican side, we know that we have President Trump running again, but we’ve also got a few other names in the hat so far as well. Nikki Haley is one of them. Vivek Ramaswamy is another. Ramaswamy is not a well-known guy by most, but he is a young finance CEO.
Beyond those, it’s just been speculation, but someone else who just got involved and thinks that they have a shot is Chris Christie.
Chris Christie’s suggestion to enter the 2024 presidential race in order to ‘torpedo’ former President Donald Trump is misguided and would ultimately be unsuccessful. The New Jersey Governor has no chance of defeating the 45th president, who remains the frontrunner for the nomination.
Christie may have campaigned heavily in New Hampshire during the 2016 election cycle, but he still lost badly there, showing his lack of support from voters. He also failed to gain traction with his debate performances, going hard against Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) which ultimately had little effect on poll numbers.
President Trump’s end is unlikely to be anything other than glorious. His immense popularity among Republican voters nationwide will ensure it. His policies have resonated with people across all walks of life, and he has delivered on key promises such as protecting religious freedom, providing tax cuts for working families and strengthening America’s military power abroad. Furthermore, he has strong support from within the GOP due to his record-breaking fundraising efforts throughout his term as president.
Therefore, should Chris Christie decide to enter the presidential race in 2024 he will face an uphill battle that is doomed to fail due to Trump’s overwhelming popularity amongst both Republican party members and voters alike.
