We’ve all likely heard of people getting honorary degrees in some field that they particularly are knowledgeable of and have made extraordinary accomplishments in and this is understandable to a certain degree.

This might be a business degree or some sort of degree in a field of science, but have you ever heard of someone getting an honorary degree in theology? I sure haven’t, and this is an area I’m very familiar with. But I’ll acknowledge that this could happen and probably actually has to notable theologians or ministers in the past. But I’d be willing to bet that this have never been the case for someone who isn’t even practicing in that field of study…until now.

Climate quack Greta Thunberg is going to be receiving an honorary degree from the University of Helsinki, not for science, or biology, or anything like that…but in theology. Oh, and it’s not just a Bachelor’s degree or even a Master’s degree. It’s a full-blown doctorate degree in theology. Listen…I went to seminary for several years and I still don’t have a doctorate degree. The process is one that is difficult and time intensive. But this girl can get one for free without knowing anything about theology? That degrees all credibility that the University of Helsinki has. I actually know someone who has taught there. He’s a really brilliant man, but I hope he didn’t have any say in this.

“Thunberg was chosen as the voice of the young generation’s concern for the future of the Earth and as a world-renowned influencer in spite of her young age. Such a concern has everything to do with academic theology which is no less interested in the Earth as it is in Heaven—ever since the biblical prophets, some of whom may be the first ones to anticipate a global climate crisis (cf., e.g., Hos 4:1–3)!” theology professor at University of Helsinki, Martti Nissinen, told the Daily Caller.

That is GARBAGE. Those verses have nothing…I repeat, NOTHING to do with climate change.
