As the world becomes more accepting of different gender identities, it seems that some people are taking it too far. Piers Morgan recently made headlines when he asked why he couldn’t identify as a black lesbian on International Women’s Day. While some may see this as a joke, which it is in part, he is using it in a way to point out the absurdity of gender ideology.

From my perspective, the idea that someone can simply choose their gender identity is ridiculous. Gender is not something that can be changed on a whim or based on how someone feels at any given moment. It is a biological fact that cannot be altered by personal preference or societal pressure.

Piers Morgan’s comments only serve to highlight the absurdity of this trend. If someone can identify as a different race or sexual orientation simply because they feel like it, then what is stopping them from identifying as anything else? Can someone identify as an animal or an inanimate object? Where do we draw the line?

The fact is, there are real consequences to this kind of thinking. By allowing people to choose their gender identity without any regard for biology or reality, we are erasing the experiences and struggles of those who have actually lived through discrimination and oppression based on their gender.

Furthermore, this kind of thinking undermines the very concept of womanhood and femininity. If anyone can simply declare themselves to be a woman without any regard for biology or experience, then what does it even mean to be a woman anymore? Are we reducing womanhood to nothing more than a set of stereotypes and cultural norms?

While Piers Morgan’s comments may have been made in jest, they serve as an important reminder of the dangers of unchecked gender ideology. We must remember that gender is not something that can be chosen at will; it is a biological fact that cannot be altered by personal preference or societal pressure.
