Kari Lake Was Bribed to Leave Politics!
Former Republican gubernatorial candidate Kari Lake of Arizona made a very shocking allegation at the 2023 Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) on Saturday. She claimed that an unidentified individual had visited her earlier in the week and offered her a bribe to stay out of politics for two years.
“Somebody showed up at my door this week,” Lake said during her CPAC address. “They called me before and said: I gotta talk to you in person, this can’t be done over the phone… They came to my door and they tried to bribe me out of getting out of politics. This really happened. I’m telling you this because this is how disgusting politics is.”
Lake was a close contender in Arizona’s 2020 gubernatorial election, where she ultimately lost to Democratic Secretary of State Katie Hobbs by just 0.4% following machine malfunctions in 20% of the voting centers which prompted an apology from local officials and an ultimately unsuccessful Republican lawsuit seeking to extend voting hours. Although Lake had initially contested the election results in court, a judge rejected Hobbs’ request for sanctions against Lake. We’re talking about Maricopa County being included in as well, so we all know what’s going on.
As rumors swirl that she may run for Sen. Kyrsten Sinema’s seat in 2024 following Sinema’s January 23rd departure from the Democratic Party, it appears that some individuals sought to deter Lake from running again by offering her what appeared to be a lucrative bribe. Yet, despite being asked “to name her price,” Lake remained steadfast in her commitment to serve her country and refused the offer without hesitation.
“I told him let your handlers back east know that I can’t name a price, because there is no price that I would sell out my country for,” Lake proclaimed with conviction during her CPAC speech. “I’m not going anywhere.”
