As tensions continue to rise between Russia and Ukraine, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has made a bold prediction: that Russian President Vladimir Putin will be assassinated by his own people.

While some may dismiss this as mere speculation, it is worth noting that Zelensky himself has survived over a dozen assassination attempts since the beginning of the Russian invasion. This gives him a unique perspective on the matter, and his prediction should not be taken lightly.

But why would Putin’s own people turn against him? The answer lies in the increasingly authoritarian nature of his regime. Putin has consolidated power to an unprecedented degree, silencing dissent and cracking down on any perceived threats to his rule.

This has led to growing discontent among the Russian people, who are tired of living under an oppressive regime that offers them little hope for the future.
