In stark contrast to the inaction of the regime, President Donald Trump arrived at East Palestine on Wednesday with much needed supplies and spoke with hundreds of locals who had gathered in eager anticipation of his visit. To top off his generous gesture, he even provided sandwiches from McDonalds for everyone present.

When Pete Buttigieg finally slinked into town early Thursday morning – having carefully avoided any announcement – he was confronted by Turning Point USA reporter Savanah Hernandez who asked why it had taken him so long to respond. In a moment of cowardice and unabashed smugness, Pete refused to answer her questions or apologize to any of those affected by his negligence.

Incensed at his lack of accountability, Savanah then turned her attention towards his assistant, angrily demanding answers.

The uncomfortable incident is indicative of not just Pete Buttigieg’s character but also that of the entire Biden administration which seems unwilling or unable to opent face-to-face dialogue with citizens while being content to make decisions independent from popular opinion. By refusing to apologize or accept responsibility for his actions prior to arriving in East Palestine, Pete revealed himself as someone who is scared of people standing up against him and his regime’s policies.
