FINALLY! The moment we’ve all been waiting for has arrived! The bodycam footage of Paul Pelosi’s attack has been released.
On Thursday evening, the San Francisco Police Department released shocking bodycam footage of the night of October 28, 2022 when 42-year-old David DePape allegedly resorted to violent measures against Paul Pelosi, husband of former Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi. The events occurred inside their residence in San Francisco, where police were called to investigate reports of an altercation.
The footage portrays officers knocking on the door to the house in the early hours of October 28th and being let in by Paul Pelosi, who opened up to them about what happened earlier that evening. It’s alleged that DePape had entered their home uninvited and then attacked Pelosi with no provocation whatsoever. Reports say he displayed a level of rage and aggression that was unprecedented and shocking to all present.
Pelosi recounted how DePape had repeatedly punched him in his face and upper chest area, causing bruises and swelling around his eyes. Evidence also suggests that he may have also tried to strangle him with his bare hands during this ordeal. Once police apprehended DePape after a brief struggle, it could be seen from his demeanor that he was not remorseful for his actions at all.
What further added to the gravity of this situation is the fact that Nancy Pelosi was asleep in an adjacent room at the time of these events and had been unaware until police arrived at her doorstep later on. This incident has caused great distress and fear within their household as well as their community as a whole; however, justice will hopefully soon be served for this heinous act against one of America’s most respected politicians.
“Hey guys, how are you?” Pelosi is heard saying as he and DePape are seen standing next to each other, with DePape holding the handle of a hammer of which the head was grabbed by Pelosi.
“What’s going on, man?” an officer is heard asking. “Everything’s good,” DePape is heard responding.
The police officer ordered that DePape, to which DePape said, “um, nope.”
DePape is seen trying to pry the head of the hammer from Pelosi’s hand, with Pelosi saying, “hey, hey, hey.”
“What is going on right now?” the officer said seconds before DePape freed the hammer, and swung it, hitting Pelosi in the head.
“Oh sh*t,” one of the officers said as they rushed into the house to tackle DePape. As officers are handcuffing DePape, Pelosi is seen lying motionless on the floor behind him groaning.
