YES! House Floor Erupts After Matt Gaetz Votes for “Donald John Trump” as Speaker (VIDEO)
Who would have ever imagined that it was going to take so long for the House of Representatives, held by a majority of Republicans, to nominate and elect somebody has the Speaker of the House?
The majority of Republicans are in fact voting for Kevin McCarthy to be speaker while every single Democrat is still voting for Hakeem Jeffries, but there are still a number of holdouts from the Republicans who just absolutely refuse to vote for Kevin McCarthy.
From those twenty individuals who still won’t vote for Kevin McCarthy, they have voted for a number of different people so far including Andy Biggs, Jim Jordan, and a number of other people.
But by far the most interesting vote that has come so far comes from Matt Gaetz who stood up on the house floor and voted for Donald John Trump to be the Speaker of the House during the 7th attempt to elect a speaker.

Can you even imagine how the RINOs and the Democrats felt when he nominated President Trump for Speaker of the House? There have of course been talks in the past where people have theorized that President Trump could actually be Speaker of the House if he were voted to do so, but it’s obvious that he wouldn’t have enough support from the rest of the Republicans in the house to win. Plus, I still don’t even understand if it’s possible for someone who is not a member of the House of Representatives to actually be chosen as Speaker of the House. I have heard that it’s true that one could but whenever I looked at the legislation that talked about that I felt that it was very unclear either way.
Who knows how many votes is going to take to finally choose the Speaker of the House, but if I had to make a prediction, I think that Kevin McCarthy will ultimately be chosen because I think that he will finally offer the holdouts something that they want, and they’ll agree to it.
