Oof! Joe Biden Tells Another Doozy: Recalls Story About His Dad and Uncle When They Were Both Dead
Joe Biden is notorious for saying stupid things and I think that he does so for a variety of reasons. Sometimes, I think he’s just lying. Sometimes, I think he gets tongue tied and just slips up. But probably the greatest majority of the time that he says something stupid it’s because he doesn’t know what on earth he’s talking about because his old age is making him senile.
And so, of course, it happened again. Biden was telling a story in which he recalled conversations he had with his uncle and father at a time when they both were dead.
During a campaign stop in New Hampshire, Biden recounted a story of a conversation he had with his father and uncle in which they “talked about the importance of family and the importance of being a part of something larger than yourself.”
You know, I — my dad, when I got elected vice president, he said, ‘Joey, Uncle Frank fought in the Battle of the Bulge.’ He was not feeling very well now — not because of the Battle of the Bulge. But he said, ‘And he won the Purple Heart. And he never received it. He never — he never got it. Do you think you could help him get it? We’ll surprise him.’
“So we got him the Purple Heart. He had won it in the Battle of the Bulge,” Biden said referring to him and his dad. “And I remember he came over to the house, and I came out, and he said, ‘Present it to him, okay?’ We had the family there.”
I said, ‘Uncle Frank, you won this. And I want to…’ He said, ‘I don’t want the damn thing.’ No, I’m serious. He said, ‘I don’t want it.’ I said, ‘What’s the matter, Uncle Frank? You earned it.’ He said, ‘Yeah, but the others died. The others died. I lived. I don’t want it.’
Biden’s dad died in 2002, and his uncle in 1999. On top of that, there is no record that Biden’s uncle ever received the Purple Heart.
The story immediately drew criticism from many, including President Trump, who tweeted that Biden was “mentally gone” and “should not be allowed to run for President.” However, Biden’s campaign quickly dismissed the criticism, saying that the story was meant to connect with voters and was not meant to be taken literally.
Boy, they really have their work cut out for them, don’t they? They have to spin all the crazy stuff that comes out of Biden’s mouth. Like this story that wasn’t meant to be taken literally. He just made up this allegorical story on the spot. I’m not believing that. He’s not that smart.
