Trump Attacks DeSantis AGAIN! ‘I Got More Votes Than Him, Needs to Be More Gracious to Me’
I hate saying it, and I often get flak because of it, but I’m still confident in my assertion that President Trump is losing support among conservatives.
I’m not saying that he’s losing an overwhelming amount of support or that nobody supports him, I’m just saying that he is losing supporters and I would say he’s losing even more supporters as of recently because of certain remarks that he’s made regarding Florida Governor Ron DeSantis.
If you look at the poles Ron DeSantis is the most liked governor in the entire country. He has done the best job, he doesn’t back down, and he fights for what is right.
But then you have President Trump who just recently has attacked Ron DeSantis three times within the span of a week. And the insults apparently just came out of nowhere.
First thing that he did was make the little remark of calling him “Ron DeSanctimonious”. I mean that was entirely uncalled for. Now, that’s not that big of a deal right? It wasn’t that harsh. But like I said there are at least three things that I know of. One of the other ones was actually threatening to release some dirt on Ron DeSantis if he did decide to run for president in 2024. Apparently, he claims to have quite a bit of dirty laundry on Ron DeSantis, but I’m sure that he likewise has some dirt on President Trump as well. If they are truly close enough that president Trump has dirt on Ron, and Ron probably has third on President Trump as well.
Then the third thing is that Trump tried to downplay the Desantis’ victory in the midterms by claiming that DeSantis should be more gracious to him because he got more votes than him in 2020.
“Now that the Election in Florida is over, and everything went quite well, shouldn’t it be said that in 2020, I got 1.1 Million more votes in Florida than Ron D got this year, 5.7 Million to 4.6 Million?” Trump said on social media. “Just asking?”
“I got him the nomination. He didn’t get it. I got it,” Trump barked. “And I thought that he could have been more gracious, but that’s up to him.”
Trump repeatedly attacked the Florida governor in the days leading up to the election and even celebrated when a Republican candidate lost in a key U.S. Senate race that could end up determining which party controls the U.S. Senate.
I honestly don’t know what’s gotten into President Trump lately but I wish that he would just back off a little bit and not start this attacking game against Republicans that are well-loved in the party because it’s not doing anything helpful and can only cause division.
