Are UFOs Real? Recent Sightings Suggest They Might Be…
For years, people have been claiming to see unidentified flying objects in the sky. These so-called “UFOs” have been written off by many as hoaxes or natural phenomena, but a recent string of sightings by credible sources has some people wondering if there might be more to these stories than meets the eye.
In August and September 2020, several pilots reported seeing strange objects while flying over the Pacific Ocean. The pilots, who were flying for commercial airlines including American Airlines and United Airlines, described the objects as “flying at incredibly high speeds” and said they had “never seen anything like this.”
While it’s impossible to say for sure what the pilots saw, their reports add to a growing body of evidence that suggests UFOs might be real after all. Let’s take a closer look at some of this evidence to see if we can figure out what’s really going on.
Evidence of UFO sightings goes back centuries, with some of the earliest reports coming from China in the third century BC. In more recent years, there have been reports of UFO sightings from all over the world, including countries like the United States, Russia, and Chile.
One of the most famous UFO sightings occurred in 1947 when businessman Kenneth Arnold claimed to see nine unidentified flying objects near Mount Rainier in Washington state. Arnold described the objects as being “flat like a pie pan” and said they were flying “erratically.” His report garnered national attention and sparked a wave of similar sightings across the country.
In addition to eyewitness accounts, there is also physical evidence that suggests UFOs might be real. In December 1980, for example, dozens of people in rural Pennsylvania reported seeing a large object with bright lights in the sky. The object was also picked up on radar by nearby airport personnel. In another incident in Japan in 1986, hundreds of people reported seeing a large object in the sky, and video footage of the event was captured on television cameras.
Even just over the past two months there have been sightings reported in which pilots report having “never seen anything like this”.
The Daily Wire reported,
Former FBI agent Ben Hansen, the host of the Discovery+ show “UFO Witness,” obtained recordings of reports to the Los Angeles Air Route Traffic Control Center (ARTCC) in which pilots described what they saw.
“We’ve got a few aircraft to our north here and he’s going around in circles, much higher altitude than us. Any idea what they are?” Mark Hulsey, who was flying a a Gulfstream charter jet, radioed ito ARTCC.
“Uh, no, no I do not,” the air controller replied, according to The Daily Mail. “You’re not entering any [military] airspace or anything. I am not sure.”
Hulsey claimed he could see “maybe three aircraft there” before calling again 23 minutes later, clarifying, “There’s now like seven of them … at least 5 or 10,000 feet above us. … They just keep going in circles. I was an F-18 pilot in the Marine Corps, and I’m telling you, I’ve done many intercepts: I’ve never seen anything like this.”
…..
“They were lights that would come on very bright, you would see them move, then they would go out,” he stated. “It had to be in a very, very high orbit, or actually even out in space quite a ways away from anything that a satellite would be, because every time we were seeing it, it was in the lower right hand corner of the Big Dipper, no matter where we were in the world. It lasted for such a long time that it actually became boring, almost. If it was Starlink, or anything like that, then it’s going to be moving in a linear fashion, and all of them will be moving in the same direction. These weren’t. They were moving different directions,” according to veteran pilot Chris Van Voorhis.
Voorhis also reported that out of all of his pilot friends, about half of them have reported seeing some sort of anomaly like UFOs.
There is no definitive proof that UFOs are real, but there is certainly a lot of evidence to suggest that they might be. Eyewitness accounts and physical evidence from around the world point to the possibility that we are not alone in the universe. Whether or not you believe in UFOs, it’s hard to deny that something strange is going on. What do you think? Are UFOs real or are they just figments of our imagination?
