In a display of something that I never thought that I would see in our country, something remarkable happened in Boston earlier this week.

A flag was raised above Boston City Hall, but it wasn’t an American flag or Massachusetts flag. In fact, it was the Christian flag.

The raising of the Christian flag came following celebration after the Supreme Court ruled in favor I’m doing so.

I’m honestly not too sure that I really fully understand what is policies all about and I honestly think that it’s a slippery slope because Liberals are going to try and hijack this and turn it into a bad thing and allow all sorts of flags to be flown. But did I not already do that? I’m pretty sure that especially during the month of June I’ve seen all sorts of rainbow flags, and LGBTQ flags, and transgender flags and everything in between.

“I do want to give the glory to God because God’s hand was in this from the very beginning,” conservative activist Harold Shurtleff, whose organization Camp Constitution was involved in the case, said at the flag-raising ceremony.

“We have a great Constitution and a wonderful First Amendment, but just like when it comes to muscle, if you don’t use it, then you get weak. When I got the rejection email from the city and it said ‘separation of church and state,’ I knew we had a case,” he added.

And believe it or not when the Supreme Court made this decision they ruled unanimously. That means even the liberal justices ruled in favor of flying a Christian flag over Boston’s City Hall.

“We conclude that, on balance, Boston did not make the raising and flying of private groups’ flags a form of government speech. That means, in turn, that Boston’s refusal to let Shurtleff and Camp Constitution raise their flag based on its religious viewpoint ‘abridg[ed]’ their ‘freedom of speech,’” Supreme Court Justice Stephen Breyer wrote in the court’s opinion.

Once Upon a Time, the United States was a Christian Nation. Many will say that never was and some people would say that still is. Personally, I’m of the opinion that it used to be, but it is not anymore. There are still many Christians and in the end, Christianity will fill the world.
