Disturbing New Details Emerge About Highland Park Shooter
The scumbag who took the lives of several innocent people at what was to be a celebration of the nation and our freedom is someone who I hope gets exactly what he deserves.
We’ve learned that he was dressed up like a girl the day of the shooting and it seems that he just picked people off for no reason whatsoever. Two of the people that were killed were a couple with a young child who now is going to be forced to grow up without his parents. It’s just devastating.
But there are some more disturbing details that have emerged regarding events that led up to this day.
We know that he threatened to kill people on more than one occasion, yet he was allowed to purchase five firearms with the help of his dad.
The Daily Wire reported,
The revelation comes after local law enforcement officials divulged that the suspect had already been on law enforcement’s radar due to a pair of incidents in 2019, including the suspect attempting suicide followed by an alleged threat to “kill everyone” several months later.
“At the time of the incident, [the suspect] did not have a FOID card to revoke, and did not have a pending FOID application to deny,” Fox 32 reported. “Then, in December 2019, at 19, [the suspect] applied for a FOID card and was sponsored by his father. At the time, [Illinois State Police] said there were insufficient bases to establish a clear and present danger and deny the application.”
According to his father, they also had a conversation about the recent mass shooting that took place in Copenhagen at a shopping mall. “He goes, ‘Yeah, that guy is an idiot,’” the father said, adding that his son declared, “People like that … [commit mass shootings] to amp up the people that want to ban all guns.”
The father said that the shooter bought everything on his own. He drove him there, he signed for him, but the shooter paid for them.
Here’s the thing. While I support the second amendment, if I had a son who looked like this guy and was a crazy leftie, and he told me that he wanted to go buy five guns…I wouldn’t let him. I can’t think of a good reason to let my kid have five weapons including something like an AR-15. Like I said, I support gun rights, but just because it’s allowable, doesn’t mean it’s a good idea. I think that’s something that we’ve forgotten in our country.
