As Democrats are once again calling for banning firearms, it looks like they’re all trying to one-up each other with saying something stupid about it.

Biden suggested he wants to ban 9mm handguns in remarks to reporters on Monday at the White House’s South Lawn.

As he visited Texas over the weekend, officials “showed me an x-ray … he said, ‘a 22-caliber bullet will lodge in a lung and we can probably get it out … and maybe save a life. A 9mm bullet, blows the lung out of the body,’” Biden said.

“So, the idea that these high caliber weapons—there’s simply no rational basis for it in terms of self-protection, hunting–and remember, the Constitution, the Second Amendment was never absolute,” said Biden.

To tell you the truth, I don’t even know why Bumbling Biden was even talking about 9mm ammunition in the first place. A 9mm handgun is probably one of the most common firearms that people own in this country.

Along with a 9mm, I would also venture a guess that a .22 rifle and a shotgun of some sort, probably a 12-gauge, are going to be the next most common two.

But the firearm that was used in the school shooting was an AR-15 which used .223 rounds, not 9mm. AR-15s are quite popular today as well.

Now, let’s think for a moment as to why a high-capacity magazine or a higher caliber weapon would be needed. If three men come and break into your home with guns, each of them have a weapon and you have yours that holds 6 rounds. What if you miss every time? When your six shots are expired, you’re done. RIP.
