Crazed Scientists Glue Themselves to Buildings and Throw Fake Blood in Temper Tantrum…I Mean Protest
In order to draw attention to the results of a United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change report, which states that mankind has just three years left to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, more than 1,000 scientists from more than 25 nations took part in the protests.
According to the research, “rapid and deep” reductions in greenhouse gas emissions are required by 2025 in order to keep global warming below 1.5 degrees Celsius and prevent the most severe climatic calamities.
I’m not going to speak one way or the other on what I think about the matter at hand itself, but what I do want to address is what people are actually doing in the way that they go about protesting the perceived problem.
In Los Angeles, for example, there were four people arrested after they chained themselves to the front door of a Chase Bank building. What does Chase Bank have to do with this? Nothing, that’s just how these people are.
But that’s not the worst of it. Another group of 25 alleged scientists ended up gluing their hands to the UK Department for Business, Energy, and Industrial Strategy.
According to The Guardian,
Twenty-five scientists have pasted pages of scientific papers to the windows of the UK Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy, and glued their hands to the glass to highlight the climate science they said the government was ignoring.
The scientists, affiliated with Scientists for Extinction Rebellion, arrived at the department’s building at 1 Victoria Street, Westminster, London, just after 11am. Doctors and health professionals staged a decoy action to give them space to get into position.

This is just as bad as the woman at the NBA game last week who tried to quickly glue her hand to the floor in protest. I don’t know what she was thinking, because there was no way that the glue was going to set that fast. She was quickly removed from the building.
